Cape Town, July 2009:
International hair beauty brand, ghd, will be hosting ghd revelations a major fashion event crafted in collaboration with ghd expert stylists, performers and fashion designers on September 3rd 2009 in Cape Town.
Guests will explore an opulent and intriguing performance space of tableau vivants (living pictures created with models and performers). The event will be performed across the entire grounds of a historical building that visitors will explore during the evening. Each tableau vivant scene, and the spaces between them, will weave together a story following the theme of transformation.
“ghd revelations will celebrate the craft of South Africa’s leading hair stylists alongside avant-garde local fashion in a unique fashion performance space. Internationally ghd has been involved in influential fashion events such as New York and London Fashion Week’s. This event is the perfect way for ghd to illustrate our vision and creative potential in South Africa,” said Rene Price, managing director of ghd South Africa.
A limited number of public passes to the event will be made available for free at www.ghdstylediary.co.za however as demand is expected to be high, final guests will be selected at random from applicants on the site. The microsite will also contain glimpses and hints of what to expect on the night.
The event is a global first for ghd south africa which has become well known for its innovative events such as the ghd style lounge; a pop-up hair salon also returning later in the year.
Ends.
