Freeworld Coatings seeks out solutions that add value and, through the iconic Plascon brand, are developing new partnerships and new possibilities that extend Plascon’s product repertoire and reputation for specialist innovation.

Recognising the need for high quality advanced preparation and textured products, formulated with an eco-aware approach, Plascon is introducing the Terraco Coatings innovation to South Africa, under a distribution agreement between Freeworld Coatings Group and the Terraco Group.

Terraco exterior coatings are highly flexible, water-based formulations; unparalleled in their ageing and weathering characteristics, designed to last well over a decade. The range will be available to the trade market from the end of June 2009.

Terraco compliments the Plascon Professional range, giving Plascon’s Trade division a more holistic product offering and providing professional contractors with a complete coating system which consists of Advanced preparation coats (skimcoats, renders and waterproofing), primers, Terracover the range of textured coatings, Terracover Topcoats which includes sealers and specialist paints, Terol (polymer-modified renders) and EIFS (exterior insulation and finishing systems).

Terracover is a range of ready-mixed acrylic textured coatings that provide the unique combination of a quality architectural finish with outstanding economy through ease of application, low material consumption rates as well as surface and colour durability. The different textures are supplied as a pre-mixed coloured paste in an acrylic, silicone or elastomeric-based product, depending on the area of application.

EIFS is an energy-efficient thermal wrapping system applied to the exterior surfaces of a building. The system is finished with a long-life, decorative and protective coating system.

The Terraco range is only applied by Plascon Approved Specialist Applicators.

Terraco’s range of contemporary Scandinavian-style coatings is incorporated into the Plascon 360º Partnership Pledge to the trade. The pledge provides a unique offering that is custom designed to each project and includes a complete guaranteed solution with technical back-up.
