April 2010, Cape Town: Atmosphere Communications – the most awarded PR agency by PRISA for a second year in a row – started 2010 with an unprecedented growth spurt of new blue chip clients during the first quarter of 2010 including V&A Waterfront, Sanlam Personal Finance, KWV Wines, Comair, Fairview and Bio Oil. To help ensure a consistent approach to delivering creative PR campaigns the agency has also established a creative director position.
South Africa’s most visited destination, the V&A Waterfront selected Atmosphere after a three way pitch while Comair, South Africa’s leading aviation company, decided to retain the service of Atmosphere based on the novel campaigns the agency delivered for one of its key brands, kulula.com.
In addition, the largest business division within the Sanlam Group, Sanlam Personal Finance, selected Atmosphere to build its brands through innovative media relations campaigns. In addition to Sanlam Investments, the PR company now handles the PR for other key divisions in the diversified financial services group including that of its CSI and Sponsorship team as well as brand building for Sanlam Developing Markets.
KWV Wines, signed up Atmosphere to develop a global social media campaign while Fairview has retained the agency to do South African brand communications and PR. Virgin Group and Virgin Active fitness clubs have also selected Atmosphere to help them in the areas of social media and brand communication.
South Africa No.1 selling scar and stretch mark product, Bio-Oil was also secured after a three-way competitive pitch.
