Chevron-Inkwenkwezi Library

We recently helped our client, Chevron South Africa, launch a newly refurbished and fully stocked library and learning centre at the Inkwenkwezi Secondary School in Du Noon. The library was officially opened by the Minister of Basic Education, Mrs. Angie Motshekga, MP on 26 October 2010. The library upgrade, as well as the appointment of a full time librarian and an assistant to manage the facility, was funded by Chevron South Africa as part of its Energy for Learning programme. This is a global Chevron initiative designed to help disadvantaged people work towards a brighter future through education. James Seutloadi, Chairman of Chevron South Africa, said the company is committed to the development of the communities in which it operates. “We take great care to partner with like-minded organisations that strive to promote literacy and learning,” he said.

At the launch event, Atmosphere managed to secure a 100% media turnout with all the local dailies and radio stations attending – fantastic!
