We're really proud of the campaign just launching today for Capitec Bank, The Capitec Bank Youth Prosperity Survey. Aimed at connecting with young people and their parents, the survey, concieved by Atmosphere, takes a look at young adults attitudes and aspirations in relation to wealth.

We're currently working alongside proximity#ttp to publicise a campaign to get South Africans to reevaluate the content of The Economist. The campaign is centred around a blog on the unexpected side of Johannesburg www.theunexpected.co.za.The blog features a number of individuals actively involved in shaping the cities culture, business and science writing on what they personally find unexpected about the city.

We've just launched a new microsite www.ghdstylediary.co.za for hair beauty brand ghd to support its spring/summer campaigns (conceived and managed by Atmosphere). The aim of the site is to act as a platform to communicate about local events and activities. It also allows consumers to register for events.

kulula were recently approached by the producer of Z News to support their campaign to get the satirical puppet show finally on the air by providing flights for the cast and crew. At short notice we arranged a photo call at the airlines cabin simulator in Jo'burg. The result was some great coverage for both Z News and kulula including City Press, Rapport, The Times iol, iafrica, Carte Blanche and Zoopy.com amongst others.

Atmosphere was recently appointed by Parmalat to run a social media campaign for iconic flavoured milk drink Steri Stumpie. We're busy putting the finishing touches to an intergrated campaign alongside King James RSVP and Mnemonic. Over the next few months we'll be doing creative drops of Steri Stumpie and other goodies amongst online "noise makers". We also have put together some fun ways of creating talking points around the brand.

Challenge:
When Reviva Technology retained Atmosphere, seven months after the Fitflop brand had launched in South Africa, their average monthly sales had halved, following an initial burst when the shoes hit stores. As a new brand owned by a start-up company, there was little budget available to embark on costly brand activations or an above-the-line campaign but it was evident that consumer awareness needed to be increased to strengthen the brand’s positioning in the local market, with a resultant impact on sales.

The final ghd style lounge of the year was held in Cape Town on Friday. The campaign (conceived and put together by Atmosphere) mixed online and social network marketing, events and plenty of traditional PR. It basically worked like this.
1: We pitched the events to the what's new/fashion news and events pages of Longlead press (magazines with 3-4 months lead time) in advance of the event.

Initiated by Atmosphere Communications, 24.com recently completed the largest survey of South Africa’s blogosphere. From October 24 to November 7, nearly 20 percent of the estimated 5000 active bloggers in country participated in the survey. We recently launched a design competition with KWV to celebrate its 90th Anniversary. In collaboration with eco-fashion label Give-It-Bag we've invited young designers to submit graphic designs for the front of a wine cooler bag.
